There is no cost to register and follow this contest. Once voting begins everyone can case one free vote for their favorite. The Ugly Grill with the most votes wins the Weber Grill from Blue Ridge Lumber and Hayek's Gift Certificates.

Entree Fee: To submit a photograph in this contest, it will cost $10 for each photo entered. You may register and enter through this website or send your photo with payment to the New Jersey Herald to address below, or stop by the office of the New Jersey Herald Monday through Friday (8-5) and drop off your entry. If dropping off or mailing, be sure to include payment with the photograph (which we will scan and upload), your entry fee and any other information required on the entrance form. Entries will be accepted through June 20, 2014. (If bringing in, come in by noon to leave time to scan and upload).

The grill in the photo must be yours. (No, you may not enter your neighbor's grill... simple tell them about the contest and offer to take the photo for them). The winning Weber grill and gift certificates can be for the winner alone. 

One free vote is accepted with each registered voter (there is no charge to register).
You may increase your chances by purchasing additional votes cost 25¢ each. We encourage you to share your Ugly Grill on facebook and ask your friends to vote for you.

You may also send a check for additional votes to address above or call 973-383-1293 to purchase votes by phone. In either case, votes will be added to your grill photo by the staff of the New Jersey Herald and must be in house no later than noon July 2nd.

Online voting will end at Midnight on July 2.. The winner will also be announced in the New Jersey Herald on, or about, July 4th.

NOTE: Votes cast by New Jersey Herald ballot will be uploaded to the back end of the contest and will reflect as soon as possible with all votes logged prior to end of round.

You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible for this contest. Must be a resident of Sussex County, NJ.

Winners will be notified by email (or by phone supplied with entry through mail or at the New Jersey Herald. If a winner is unreachable after seven (7) days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, the second placed winner will be selected. If The New Jersey Herald cannot find an eligible winner for the prize, that prize will not be awarded. 

The New Jersey Herald reserves the right to substitute any prize with another prize of equal or greater value. 

The New Jersey Herald reserves the right to restrict the winner to only persons whose primary residence is within a 60 mile radius of the affiliate's' office.

Employees of The New Jersey Herald, its respective parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising sponsors and promotional agencies, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible. 

Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of the contest commissioners, which are final on all matters pertaining to the contest. 

Entrants further grant to The New Jersey Herald the right to use and publish their proper name and state online and in print, or any other media, in connection with the Contest.

The New Jersey Herald reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information on contestants obtained through the contest, for marketing purposes or any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.

All results posted are unofficial until winners respond to e-mail notification, or via phone in the case of non-internet entry.

Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes and will be required to complete an IRS form W-9. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold prizes until completed form W-9 is received.

This contest is not intended for gambling. If it is determined that a contestant is using the contest for gambling purposes they will be disqualified and reported to authorities.

The New Jersey Herald reserves the right to change the rules at any time. The contest will not run with less than 30 entries.
